Day +15
Journal entry by Ashley Millan —
Soooo happy to report that Mike went home yesterday!! It’s been busy getting the house in order and the boys situated and ready for him to arrive. He is so happy to be out of the hospital and back to his boys and his comfy bed.
We will now begin returning to Mayo Clinic three days a week for early morning labs and to keep an eye on his prograf dosage. The prograf is what prevents the graft vs host and they need to be sure he isn’t getting too much or too little!
From this point Mike takes everything day by day and his counts continue to head in the right direction. Once he hits day +30 they will check his blood to see what percentage he is at with the donors cells, it can start at around forty percent at day +30 he will eventually be at one hundred percent! The most crucial and important time will be the first 100 days. So Mike will need to be cautious with everything he does and comes in contact with.
Thats all the news we have for now, he is just so happy to be out in the world and loving every minute with Reece and Ryker.
As always, thank you for the continued support and prayers!
